Questions that keep comingAn FAQ to send by text, from your customers' real questions

Your screen may look a little different (for example, the name under the message box). That's fine. Don't have a Claude account yet? Guide 1 covers everything. Tap any screenshot to see it bigger.

There are questions you answer several times a week. Today you turn them into one ready list you send in one text. It works best inside your business project from guide 2, because there Claude already knows your "Business page": your prices, hours and address.

1

Write the questions in Claude

Have a project from guide 2? Open it: on a computer, click Projects in the side menu, then your project. On a phone, first open the menu (the button with the lines at the top corner), then tap Projects and your project. In part 2, copy the first message.

No project? Start a new chat (on a computer: the new chat button at the top of the side menu, called New chat or New; on a phone: the new chat button at the top). In part 2, copy the second message.

Go through your texts from the past week, and type 5 to 10 questions that keep coming into the message box, one per line. Just the questions, no customer names.

A new line in the box: on a phone, the Enter key. On a computer, Shift and Enter together, because Enter alone sends the message.

2

Add the request

Copy the right message. In Claude, click at the end of the questions, go down a line, and paste it under them.

With a project:

These are questions customers ask me over and over (above). Make me a short FAQ from them that I can send by text message: a question, and under it a one- or two-line answer, in plain text, no asterisks and no formatting. Answer only from what's in the project. Anything that isn't there, write "CHECK:" and don't make it up.

After you tap "Copy": click inside Claude's message box and paste. On a phone: press and hold in the box, then tap "Paste". On a computer: Ctrl+V (on a Mac: Command+V).

Click the orange arrow (2).

In the project message box (1): the questions, and under them the request. The send arrow (2)
In this example: 5 questions the salon's customers keep asking (parking, kids, paying by card, cancellations, how long color takes).

No project: at the end of the message, after "What I know about the business:", write your prices, hours, address and anything else you know.

Fill in the "CHECK:" lines

Claude answers from what it has, and where something isn't there, it writes "CHECK:". Still, read everything before you send.

The list Claude made
In this example, the salon's Business page covers parking, kids' haircuts and how long color takes, but not paying by card or cancellations. Anything marked "CHECK:" is yours to fill in.

The easiest way to fill them in: write the missing answers to Claude underneath, like you would to a person, and add at the end "Give me just the final list, no notes". For example, at the salon: "We take all major cards. Please cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Give me just the final list, no notes." Claude writes a clean, updated list.

Copy it and send it by text

Scroll to the end of Claude's latest answer. The first button on the left (1) copies the whole answer. Paste it into a text to the customer, and send it. If there are notes at the end that Claude wrote just for you (like in the screenshot), delete them before you send.

The end of the answer: notes Claude wrote just for you, and the copy button (1)
In this example, before filling in: this is how notes at the end can look. After "no notes", the list should come out without them. If some are still there, delete them.

So the list is always ready: text it to yourself (or save it in your phone's notes), and copy it from there when you need it. Many phones and messaging apps also let you save text shortcuts or "quick replies". And add what you filled in to the Business page in your project too, so next time Claude already knows.
